I have been frustrated with my dps as a deep fire mage. My hope was that Living Bomb would help but with a ten second count down it's really only for elites and raids.

I'll probably try arcane for levelling maybe even ice for better AOE farming. After hitting 80, we can all decide on our raid roles and spec accordingly.

I should be able to hit 80 late next week unless something happens in RL to slow me down - *casting wife aggro avoidance* (otherwise know as a shopping trip).

They are saying its the highest sustained DPS spec in lvl 80 raiding right now, frostfire bolt as main nuke.

I think it would be beneficial if one of us took either a deep frost or a frost bases dual-ele spec deep enough to pick up winter's chill. 10% crit for all raid members is alot. I was thinking about going fire-heavy and providing the scorch debuff.

I'm glad to see you're a mage now...especially that you're speccing frost. With my elemental build we'll have amazing synergy. You, smen, myself, and any other mages who are interested should hop in vent some time and discuss specs to make sure we cover everything and maximize our collective DPS.

Ahh Im finally 80.

Okay so I have made a decision, I will be raiding deep frost, my spec will be pretty much completely designed for PVE content. I'll only be raiding as frost as long as I can do competitive dps, theres mixed numbers on frost raiding right now so I'll see for myself how it goes or I'll do it until my gear supports a FFB build.

Right now I am frost with my extra points in arcane. The spec is working out well for levelling as I can AOE everything to death.

Syn, you might want to put three points into Arcane Stability instead of Arcane Focus. I have found that I need to use Arcane Missiles on occasion.

I'll be trying pure arcane next level to see how that feels.
